Yes Honey, i have a headache… >.<

It’s probably due to my lack of sleep and the stress i’m receiving from school itself…

The site of injury poked by that NS personal to draw my blood just recovered only yesterday! It was blue black all the way from CMPB till home sia! Awwww so pain that time…

So let’s see what has happened? Argh, brain hurts just to think of it. Sometimes, thinking what you’re thinking would give me a horrible headache and heartache as well.

So from here, there are generally two reasons why people would want to make friends.

1. To enjoy each other’s company.

It always seems like the third choice, that i’m a friend so that i won’t be an enemy… sigh… At least there’s a converging trait- stubbornness xD Ha ha… Yeah i’m sure it’s that =)

I don’t take panadol. That’s final. Ah i’m working tomorrow… Gosh, i need rest. I need to chiong this semester!!!

Ha ha, now i’m trying out this new way of fitting pictures to my entries =) True enough, it may seem distracting, but i hope it’ll be much more fun(ner) to read! Oh about the picture, heh heh. I wanna have one of these inside my future house wor. It’ll be so grand (piano) placed smack right in the middle of the living room. Whenever i feel the urge or inspiration, i’ll just fiddle a few notes =)

Ah, about the gig! It’s finally over!!! Yay =) 2 months of hard work all paid off in the White Night Gala event as White Night Gala Choir?!? Like we have a name and status you know!!! Ha ha. Oh well… I’ll have to make do with these pictures i took with my handphone bah. Didn’t took the opportunity to take pics on the stage though =X But the girls did! Ha ha. So this gala event thingy is actually an event for Bone Marrow Foundation fundraising. And we (choir and string ensemble) are the entertainment. Hmmm being an entertainment and being the centre of attention is 2 totally different things you know :P Did i mention that there were professional male ballad dancers- Chinese and Phinoys =)

Overall the experience was rather enriching and an honour to be singing with the Singers :) That includes my conductor Mr Ong. It’s the feeling where people whom you’re used to being in a high authority and now singing with the same status as you!!! hee hee, nice feeling… The bad thing was, i was late for the rehearsals on thurs and an hour late for the actual performance on fri!!! Like OMG >.< I have valid reasons okay! Friday was due to my supervisor being draggy and all =.= Don’t get me started on him… Then the last good thing was Mr Greg Chen treated us supper! Woooo, so happy! It was at cuppage plaza and we had champagne leh :P and some snacks, all covered by Mr Greg Chen :) *All hails*

Argh, it’s getting late and i still don’t have an anti-virus software. Oh well =P Tomorrow is my NS medical check up, and i’m reaching there earlier- 11am. Praying that it wont be much of a hassle. Alrights, getting tired… zzz.. time to hit the haystacks… nights all

Today was a hectic day for me, not because i did anything. But because i thought there was something but wasn’t. In the morning, i could afford to slack and reach school a bit later, like 10mins later? Dr Subra came in and we proceeded with separation on the chromatotron. By the way, a chromatotron looks something like this…

Yup. Like that. I had to dissolve my sample in a solvent first, then prepare another solvent for the run, prepare increasing polarity solvents and also the fraction round bottom flask (12 of them). Did everything and went over to the room with this machine. Seemed alright at first, till something went wrong with the separation. Guess what? The solvent that i used to dissolve my sample was wrong! Like OMG =.=” A poor separation would occur if something like that happen. Nevertheless, we continued on with the fractions. The colour of the fraction would determine any compounds present though which is yellowish in colour. After that, i was instructed to do TLC (thin layer chromatography) to check the components of the fractions collected. True enough, the separation was not that good but there was a certain degree of separation somewhat =X
After doing all those crazy stuff till 2pm (way pass my lunch time, and my stomach was growling), i finally rushed down to grab a plate of chicken rice and gobble it down my throat >.< Took the lift back up and continued the procedures, TLC remember?
Then from 3pm to 4pm, there was a SOLID talk on David, the founder of Udders ice cream. His journey was a thoughtful one, i was pondering over his lessons that he enforced. Hmmmm? It’s good to know what you aim for eh?
4pm. I chiong back to lab to finish up the stuff – transfer and combine the different fractions, washed up and left around 530pm cause i thought i had training for Smoosh. I smsed Andrew that i’ll be late, then 5mins later, he called come to say that i do not need to attend today’s training because there were overwhelming responses today =.= Like so ARGH! I rushed so many stuff and had to compromise certain procedures and ended up like that… Had nothing else to do, so i phoned back home for dinner lor. Took a slow stroll back home =)

Woots. Such a tiresome day. Oh not to mention the gig rehearsals tomorrow and actually performance on friday. Item check: print medical report. A whole long list of stuff-to-do and i’ve yet to start on anything. Dam screwed… ARGH!

I need somebody to hug. Nevermind, i’ll go sleep first. Sigh, money no enough. I’ll probably ask my parents for it again =X Till next time we meet, night night!

It’s 1:52 AM on my laptop clock now (and yes by the time i finish blogging this post it’ll 5mins plus or so). Oh my gosh, i feel so drained out just now after the jab for whatever reasons…

Went back to DoTA 2 rounds, and of course took up a lot of my precious time. Hmmm, i should be more responsible now eh? Need to prioritise my attention to the important fields of my life. I’m a man with deep thinking- i think about the different case scenarios, what i perceive of your thoughts and how would it change my life (or not). Knowing someone for a long period of time or knowing them thoroughly has its ups and downs. As an optimist, we prefer to focus our attention to what are the good points :)

I realised that i’m very emotional and voided when its way pass my bedtime fyi i haven’t been sleeping well for the past 8 months don’t ask me why. Because sometimes why isn’t the correct question =P

Oh yeah, some photos that i shot… i always take random wacky photos. But i don’t really see anybody else taking similar “genre” of photos =| Guess i’m the weird one here o.o

This is the company i’m gonna be working in. Under andrew lor :) Hee hee. Juice bar wor! But a lot of pre-requisites that i need to accomplish, first of is the typhoid jab (which i’ve taken it just now) and second is some NEA course that i need to attend for food safety? Oh bother… Ha ha. I’m already an expert in hygiene =)

And that is my official Letter of Employment, duh! Ha ha. So cool! And it’s my first time officially finding a job, a part time job and getting into one =) weee~ Happy happy! But then hur, the pay is only $5/h nia. Oh well, it’s my passion, and not to mention nice people there i’ve met so far like Jasper, Vivian (master), and others lah! Ha ha!

I’m beginning to slack in my blog language le.  But it doesn’t matter right? The use of simple words to convey the message across is better than sophisticated sayings :) Argh! Need to cut finger nails and cut hair… And oh no!!! Need to pay $20.10 for the Sentosa tix tomorrow! Argh, how how how >.<

I got my typhoid vaccine just now! It’s at the clinic just downstairs my house, and that single jab costs me $30! W00ts, so expensive sia! Luckily for me Smoosh would be covering the costs incurred :) Oh wait i still have to attend a NEA training… Awww Jasper is going there tomorrow, but i can’t as i have school and only will be free after 6pm >.< Andrew had to arrange another time for me on wednesday 3-7pm instead. Feels so pai seh wor…

Like OMG, i just clicked “overwrite” on my phone photos and i have to re-transfer 700+ pics back from my phone to my com =.= argh, so difficult de!!!

Feeling kinda dizzy now after the jab. Don’t know why. May be cranky, so watch out!

Sheesh, tiredness is catching up to me again. Argh, seems like i continuously keep losing this tug of war within myself. Do i look strong?

Went for Smoosh POS job training yesterday. Although at first i thought it’ll be a walk in the park, the park seemed much bigger than it seems? Ha ha. Ended up with a lot of things to memorise lor. Sheesh, computers =.=”

The day before wasn’t a very good day either. Got said by by my supervisor, what i’m hearing is he saying i’m useless, i’m good for nothing, and i’m disposable… Yeah like whatever! Then just yesterday i finished up my workload all in anticipation for that barrage of non-self confidence, and he showed up for… 15mins just to instruct us on what we need to do. Really you know, i rather be supervised by some other people like Ms Nilar or Ms Cherine Tan. At least they don’t pull you down and has eyes (that works) which sees hardworking when they actually meet one… *bitch slaps arrogant people*

Then again. I have to count my blessings eh? I’m really lucky. Just do to have somebody to confide in :) heh heh. And recently, i feel my karma is getting radically unstable. I wonder why? Oh well, i’ll leave that case to another time. Right now, i have lessons later (on top of my lab work) and meeting my VE kakis for some celebration :P Oh lazy to add pics for now…

Okay lar, this is quite a post that is kinda overdued =) It happened last Saturday, where i had my job training for Smoosh. It’s not really a job training exactly, just preparing us what to expect during working hours. The location was somewhat near Lavender MRT, and i supposedly needed to meet denny there but i was late =P He proceeded there first and shortly i arrived. The room was pretty small lor. Had to squeeze somewhere 16 people in total >.<

Yeah that’s the room size! Hee hee. The 2 tables and other equipments with all of us inside just barely fill the room to its brim. Not to mention that faulty door! Rawrz, a bloody stubborn one. Refuses to close when opened, and refuses to open when closed. Ha ha. We were paired up into four groups of 3-5 people. My group was Jasper (O level grad), Denny (yr2 NYP), Vivian (experienced auntie) and me (a nobody). The whole process was fun, taking turns and helping each other out. Hygiene and healthy (nutrition) was at the utmost priority for Smoosh. Apparently the “nobody” got shortlisted, and Denny didn’t got in :P I wonder why xD  Oops :p yeah i feel sad for him. LOL.

Anyways i went to Raffles Hospital for the first time the following day…

   Ha ha… yeah the hospital was really high class! Seems like some hotel lor. Have suites even! Ha ha. And of course, it’s freakin’ expensive =) So i took the opportunity to take pictures there :)

Ha ha… Gonna buy stuff  from Denny’s personal selling. Hope that it’s worthwhile wor =)

Went to 2 Open Houses (OH) yesterday wor!!! Ha ha, really tiring but fun =)

First of course is my own poly, NYP. I had to perform anyways :) VE did 2 performances at the library cafe (sucks big time) at 1200 and 1330. The first slot audience was a lot sia (sacarsm) and we didn’t do very well with our three songs i feel- Dravidian (tamil dance), Angel (inspirational) and Voice Dance (free spirit). We replaced Angel with Every Breath You Take, a classical oldies =) I prefer that also. Ah, Arun came to watch us, and recorded the 2nd slot only. Cause i told him it was 1230 for the first one. Hee hee, sorry alot =P

Then Arun and I proceeded to NP OH, his polytechnic. To view his wonderful poly life (i think). At least NP feels so much livelier than NYP for some odd reason, maybe the crowd? Hmmm i visited his department which was nursing and beside it was their life science. Being a nosey brat, i just wandered off there. And i was like OMG at their participants involvement level. Let’s see here…

• I saw how ice-creams were made.
• I tried frozen biscuits (fun after effects, look out for movie also!).
• Wanted to do henna, but student crowd too much to handle.
• Saw a fish tank with vacuum pressure on top so that we could touch the fishes from somewhat the bottom area.
• Touched baby bamboo sharks (i think that is what they are called, and very nice feeling too), starfishes and got my hands wet!
• Saw rodents and some G-force guinea pigs :)

Yeah, a lot right? Not to mention the “free lunch”, popsicle stick and 2 sausages! Oooo, i’m being to love NP cause of their free food during OH! Rawrz. Aiyo their infrastructure also nice nice de =X Well too late to regret now! Hee hee, i’ll do the best with whatever i have always.

 

After the tours, me and Arun decided to catch the block buster movie Sherlock Holmes (how do you actually pronounce “Holmes” without the “l”?) @ Plaza Sing. Rather intriguing movie i must say. Sherlock has unexplainable analytical and deduction skills. An idol perhaps? Ha ha. It was worth the money and i strongly recommend this film if you wanna enjoy a action-packed intellectual movie!

Awww, school’s boring… Haven’t had breakfast either. Argh, low blood sugar levels =X I feel so gluttonish and lazy. Oh my, i don’t wanna be a glutton >.< Okay 20 laps of swimming for me (when i’m free). Ha ha.

This entry would account for my 31st Dec 09 and 2nd Jan 10. Today’s sermon by Pastor Derek has proven that a new year doesn’t simply mean a change of calender, nor does it come with a barrage of fireworks. Instead a change of viewpoint (cliche) and self-awareness of “carried over characteristics”, whether were there any that shouldn’t be brought over, or any that should be carried over =) I totally understand and didn’t fall asleep, for once ;p

Then the obvious question… How’s my new year then? Ha ha. With that greater understanding and knowledge, i pursued matters that matters (puny).

Met Arun @ Somerset MRT to get to Cinne. It was dinner time, fortunately for us, there weren’t much rowdy mobsters to push us over whatsoever. Just a few people pushing out to get to a rock/heavy band performance just outside cinne. I tried to appreciate that kind of music, however my ears and stomach betrayed me…

Ordered this for dinner. Some beef soup set meal. Costs $5 plus. Forgotten le, cause didn’t take note of the price, just wanna enjoy good food =) Argh, Arun doesn’t go for pork, beef or mutton. He just eats chicken and fish for protein intake (wow at self-control).

 

Dessert was this. Guess which 1 is mine? Ha ha. *hint mines guava*

 

Afterwards, we got a call from Malcolm. Supposedly meeting him and shin. Due to whatever unknown reasons hidden by Malcolm, i doubt we will ever know. I think that he’s pretty rich and overly socialable? Ha ha. Who am i to judge right?

 

We spent time at Mac along Tanglin road. Can’t remember the exact location since i’ve only been there once. It says SIT!

1st Jan? Nothing much lor. Pretty much slacked at home xD till around night time where we sent Xiu Hui off le. Think for 6 months? Ha ha, so our VE peeps Alum9 went to make a farewell album for her. Took CY and ET alot of effort, as can be seen. Argh, the photos of the album with CY. So i’ll settle that another time =) Right now… enjoying life! Ha ha…
